In 2025, it will be exactly 45 years since De Vrijbuiters released their legendary 'white album', featuring classics like Gelök, Wengske aan Wengske, and Hacienda. These dialect songs have become evergreens in Limburg and are still enthusiastically sung along to this day. The theater concert The Songs of De VRIJBUITERS focuses on both iconic albums, the 'white' and the 'black'. A group of young musicians from North Limburg brings the music back to life, honoring the original with a fresh perspective on the present. Stories from the original band members add extra color to the evening, making it a tribute to Limburg's musical history.
